With the rising costs of college, the financial strain put on students and their families is increasing, causing some students’ needs, such as food and stable housing, to be left unmet. How many students are affected by food and housing insecurity and does it vary by institution type, race, and/or region? How does food and housing insecurity impact students’ education and wellbeing? What steps are being taken to combat the issue and what more can be done?
